Students Help Build New Boardwalk

Along a muddy section of the Altona Forest trail a group of grade 5 students from St. Elizabeth Seton school at Rosebank and Stroud's Lane helped build a new boardwalk. The foundation was pre-laid by workers ahead of time. On Wednesday June 9th, with the help of school faculty, Larry Noonan, a day was organized for the students to assist in the placing and securing of all the planks for the walkway. The funding for the project was made possible by a grant from TD Canada Trust Friends of the Environment.
